You can see the magnificent view from Oreti lake. While travelling along the Oreti path, visitors can see deer, bezoar goats, bears, less often wolves and lynxes, but there are many traces on the trail.
The route starts from the visitor centre in the village Kvemo Omalo and follows the road to the village Kumelaurta. After Kumelaurta, no water supplies are found on the trail, please carry the necessary amount with you. You can do the trip in one day on horseback, however, it is recommended for the backpackers to stay overnight near the lake and descend during the next Day. You will find the water source and wild campsite near the lake.
From the lake, Oreti beautiful views are revealed on almost all of Tusheti. Two endemic species, the Caucasian Black Grouse and the Caucasian Snowcock, inhabit the vicinity of Lake Oreti. These birds are active in the evening and morning hours, and just at this time they can be seen and heard.
