Toba Waterfall and Cave - the tallest, 234 meters high, Toba cascading waterfall in Georgia, which flows from Arsen Okrojanashvili (Toba II) Cave, is located in Samegrelo, Martvili Municipality, near the village of Second Balda, on the right tributary of the river Abasha of Toba valley, 707m above sea level.
The cave is difficult to access and climbing there without special equipment is not recommended, while a rubber boat is needed to travel inside. The cave is produced in cretaceous stratified limestones. The entrance (15X20 m) opens along the cliff. There are several halls in the three-story, multi-branched cave. Among them are: "Nona Hall", "Nana Hall", "Salon", "University 50", "Lake" and other halls. Chemical precipitates come in a variety of forms. The height of one of the stalagmites reaches 7 m. The total length of the cave is 1300 m. The river coming out of the cave, which creates 4 lakes underground, forms a 234m high, (the highest in Georgia) Toba cascading waterfall.
The access road to the waterfall: From Martvili to the village of First Balda goes a road where you can move by any type of vehicle. From the village, it is possible to climb to the top of the waterfall by dirt road, by off-road vehicle, or by hiking along the Abasha River valley. The length of the hiking trail is 7 km.
