Eagle Gorge

Eagle Gorge (Artsivi Kheoba) - Natural monument in Georgia, located in Kakheti, 0.5 km north of Dedoplistskaro and 762 meters above sea level, includes the protected areas of Vashlovani.

The natural monument of Eagle Gorge is a unique complex, which consists of two objects. One part is a limestone rocky canyon and the second is a nearby forested area, in which the Khornabuji Fortress (V century) is located.

The valley has a beautiful landscape. Here you can find more than sixty species of birds. Among them are the nesting species of rare species - black stork and Griffon vultures. Eagle Gorge is the perfect bird watching spot.

On the rocky slopes of the canyon you can see rare / endangered plants that are not found anywhere else on the territory of Georgia.
