Gldani Lake

Gldani Big Lake (Big Lake, White Lake) is a lake in the northern part of Tbilisi, on the left bank of the Mtkvari River, near the village of Gldani. Located at altitude 546 m above sea level. The surface area is 0.2 km, the basin area is 0.77 km. The lake is about 900 m long and 300 m wide. The lake is fed mainly by rain and snow water as well as bitter salt springs, which is why it is saline.

The lake is popular for amateur fishing. There is a recreation park around the lake, which is planned to be developed and the infrastructure will be upgraded, which will make this place more attractive.
