Khobi

Khobi is a town and municipality in western Georgia, the administrative center of Khobi Municipality. It is located in Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti Region, on Kolkheti Lowland, on the river Khobi, 25 meters above sea level.

It was declared a city in 1981. There is a residence of Poti and Khobi diocese in Khobi. In 2 km from the city stands the Khobi Cathedral of the end of XIII century.

There is a railway station in Khobi on the Tbilisi - Zugdidi line. The international highway S-1 Tbilisi-Leselidze passes through the city and the highway of internal state importance Khobi-Customs.
