Madatapa Nature Reserve

Madatapa National Park - is located on Javakheti Nation Park territory. It includes some part of Ninotsminda territory. Its total area is 320 acres. It was established in 2011. There is dry continental climate characterized for this place and the average yearly temperature is quite low.

In winter Kavakheti lakes freeze for a long period. We meet here artificially planted pine trees and small parts of the forest. The most important is sub alp forest, which consists of white birches, Caucasian Rowan, rose hip and raspberry bushes, and is located near the boarder of Georgia and Turkey, on the nearby territory of Kartsakhi lake.
