Saint George church of the Village Kvemo Bolnisi

Saint George church of the Village Kvemo Bolnisi – It is VI century monument, basilica church, located in Kvemo Kartli region, Bolnisi Municipality, specifically in Kvemo Bolnisi. It is included in UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As Vakhushti Batonishvili informs us, the icon of St. George in silver, was buried inside the church. But now it is preserved in the Georgian Museum of Fine Arts.

The ruined arches and monastic life were restored just a few years ago. Nowadays the monastery is being developed by the blessing of Reverend Ephraim and God.
