Two-day tour plan⤵️
1. Sujuni St. George's Dome Church, 17th century.
The relics of St. George are kept in Sujuna. The icon of the Mother of God of Tikhvin is enshrined in the church. "St. George of Sujuna" was considered a powerful icon in ancient Samegrelo. It was built by Antoni Chkondideli. It is currently a functioning nunnery.
2. Shkhepi Fortress, 4th century. King Levan of Imereti died here in captivity in 1590.
3. Nokalakevi (literally "place where a city once existed"). - Archaeological museum, ramparts, lower and upper fortresses, tunnel, ruins of a bathhouse, Church of the Forty Sebastians from the 5th century, etc.

16. Enguri Hydropower Plant - the largest hydroelectric power plant in Transcaucasia. Located on the Enguri River. Built in 1961-1987.
🛶 We will move on to the hydroelectric power plant itself - we will explore the dam tunnels and go down to the top floor.
