Banguriani

Mountain glacier Banguriani is roughly 20 km far from Mestia. The first 10 km can be covered with an off-road vehicle. The next 10 km to Banguriani glacier goes through the ridge and is a hiking path. To climb from glacier to the peak, alpine equipment is needed. The trail to the glacier is of medium difficulty. It starts in the forest zone, runs to alpine valleys, and ends with a rocky ground to the glacier, that is the main challenge of the trail.

From Banguriani Mountain there are remarkable views of Mestia, mountains and summits of Svaneti.
