Sakavre Church of the Virgin Mary – a church northwest of the village of Sakavre, Gori Municipality, which, according to the inscription, was built in 1460 by a certain Vakhtang Javakhishvili.
The church is a hall (9.4 X 7.9 m), built of rubble stone. The entrance is on the south and west. There is one window in the apse, on the sides of which there is a triangular niche. There is also one window in the south and west walls. The hall is roofed with a cylindrical vault. On the east facade, above the altar window, there is a yellow sandstone insert with an inscription (date of construction) carved on it. The facades are finished with a stepped brick pediment. There is one clerestory on the south and west sides of the building. The west clerestory is rectangular (only the lower part has survived). The south clerestory (gate) extends beyond the south wall of the church and passes into the west clerestory. The arched entrance to the south clerestory is directly opposite the entrance to the church. In the interior, there are two pilasters on the south wall. The roof is ruined.
