About Colonnades

Colonnades – located in Batumi Boulevard, Adjara. It is one of the most interesting sights in the city and Batumi Boulevard more beautiful for 80 years.

The author of the idea is Ivane Mchedlidze, a doctor from Batumi, who brought the project from Sorrento. The colonnades of the boulevard have been the visit card of Batumi since 1934.

Originally the colonnades were the gateway to the sea, but time by time the coastal line was removed back and nowadays there is a wonderful park here.
