Tianeti Church of Assumption of of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Tianeti Church of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary- is located in the side of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, in the center of borough Tianeti.

After the regime of the Communists, this temple is the first one, ever built in this settlement. The construction of the church started in 1998, under the blessing and benediction of father Zosime- the Metropolitan of Tsilkani and Dusheti. Later, on 27 January 2002, during the Feast of Saint Nino, there was held the ceremonial consecration of the church. From now on, it has been already 16 years, that here are permanently held the praise and thanksgiving to God. Almost every householder of the Tianeti took participation in the construction procedures, they were highly involved in building procedures. Therefore, this church was built actually with the help and donation of inhabitants and local government.
