Lake Memuli
About Lake Memuli
The lake Memuli is located in the Chuberi commune at 2750 MSL. The lake is located on the east side of the ridge separating Nenskra and Sakeni gorges. The route starts from the Memuli summer farms, goes along the river Memuli gorge and ascends to the lake Mumuli, which is located near the Memuli pass.
Itinerary:
Day 2: Ascent to lake Memuli
During the day you have to ascend 1470 meters in heights. At first the surface of the path is very well-visible and easy to walk. You are hiking along the gorge and in some places you cross the streams where you can fill up the water supply. You will come across of the shepherd's hut in the valley. At the end of the first day you will have to overcome a sharp ascent. There is no trail on the surface and you have to make your own way up through high grasses. With the gradual ascend, the height of the grass decreases. At the end of the uphill you will have to climbs on the rock. The camp can be placed in the eastern part of the lake. The stream which is drinkable joins the lake from the north side.
