Lomisi St. George Church in Kavtiskhevi

Lomisi Trinity Church is located in the village of Kavtiskhevi, Kaspi Municipality, Shida Kartli region. Constructed from cobblestone and a piece of stones, the hall building dates back to the early Middle Ages. The hall, covered by a vaulted roof, is supported by single-stage pilasters. Pilasters have profiled capitals. The south facade is open with a semicircular arch. The arch rests on a massive, circular tower. The abutment has a simple capital shape. There is one arched window on the central axis of the apse, and a rectangular niche in the northern part. One narrow window in the south wall, one in the west wall. To the south of the temple was an annex, whose vault and conch are now destroyed. There is one window in the semicircular apse of the building. The church has one entrance from the south. To the west of the Holy Trinity Church in Lomisi, very close to it (almost adjacent to each other), stands the Church of St. George in Kavtiskhevi.
