Itinerary:
Day 1
Tbilisi – Nedzvi National Park – Nedzvi Shelter
We will depart Tbilisi early and head to Nedzvi Managed Reserve. After a brief stop at ranger station, we will begin hiking on a flat open meadow and then uphill on a gravel road. The ascent continues for approximately 3 hours but group speed including stopes can last 5 hrs. We will reach the Nedzvi shelter in the evening. Please note that the hut has no beds. We will be sleeping on the floor using sleeping pads and sleeping bags. The shelter has no electricity. There’s a water spring near 200m. There will be no phone connection on the first day.
Day 2
Nedzvi Shelter – Mountain Didi Karta – Tbilisi
After breakfast, we will depart the shelter and hike towards Didi Karta Mountain (2315 m). The most challenging part of the hike is the 3 km long uphill section leading to Didi Karta’s peak. But the mountain rewards the effort with fantastic views. here we will get phone connection. Once we finish admiring the scenery, we will start hiking downhill towards the ranger station, where we will meet our drivers. Return to Tbilisi. The end of the Nedzvi Trekking Tour.
