Neptune fountain

Neptune Fountain - Monumental Fountain, located in front of the Batumi Drama Theatre, in Batumi. It consists of five fragments. A gilded Neptune sculpture is standing on the pedestal in the center. There is a fountain around it, which is the composition of four mermaid figures.

The gilded figure of the fountain Neptune, with its divine gesture, expresses its power to manage water. The original version of Neptune fountain from 16th century stands on the Neptune Square with the same name in Bologna, Italy. In 2011, a Neptune statue and heraldic shields that stand in the center of the fountain were covered with gold.
