Omalo - the village in the Akhmeta municipality on the right bank of the river Pirikiti Alazani. 1880 meters above sea level, 90 km from Akhmeta. The administrative centre of Tusheti protected area. The village is located between the Greater Caucasus and the Pirikita ridge. Half a year has been cut off from the rest of Georgia due to lack of road.
The villages of the community centre: Dano, Dartlo, Dochu, Kvavlo, Kumelaurta, Shenako, Shtrolta, Chigho, Tsaro, Khakhabo, Khiso and others.
