Birtvisi is a ruined medieval fortress complex in Kvemo Kartli. Nested within limestone cliffs in the Algeti river gorge, is one of the most interesting place to the Algeti National Park .
From the afterward history of Birtvisi Fortress, it is not an ordinary fortress – complex of buildings gathered together, rather it is a conoid unity of rocky mountains which stretches over 2 square kilometer.
