Sighnaghi Museum
About Sighnaghi Museum
The Sighnaghi Museum is located in Kakheti, in the town of Sighnaghi. It was founded in 2007 and is one of the most interesting and diverse places for those interested in culture and art. The museum contains a collection of paintings by Niko Pirosmani, as well as ethnographic, archaeological and medieval materials. Here are represented household and cult objects that were found in archaeological expeditions in Kakheti and date back to different periods, also a variety of ethnographic materials: musical instruments, military weapons, clothing and samples reflecting urban life. If you want to get to know Kakhetian and Georgian culture in general, the Signaghi Museum is a perfect place to do this. The fascinating collection of the world-renowned Georgian primitivist Niko Pirosmani, which is of great interest to art lovers, makes the museum especially attractive.
