Tontio Pentagonal Bridge is located on the site of Samtskhe-Javakheti, in the municipality of Ninotsminda, in the village of Khaurma. Historically, this countryside is called Tontio. The construction is dated to the XII-XIV centuries. Tontio Bridge is a five-pierced and it is propped across the Paravani river, which is flowing down in the middle of the dorp. There was a time when this bridge was used as a main, central way to get to Georgia from Byzantium, later, from Turkey and Armenia. Until 1893, on the top of the bridge, there was preserved Georgian epigraphy. The length of the bridge is 72,2 meters, and the width is 4,5 meters. From the outside, there are extended special structures to avoid the overflowing river water. It was a great protector from water waves, or from constant water streams. In the village of Khaurma you can also call around the XI century church.
