Itinerary:
We will leave Tbilisi early and drive on Georgian Military Road, the main historic route connecting Georgia with Russia, to Kobi. Here we will turn off the asphalt road and head to the starting point of our trail. The path will take us through a narrow mountain gorge into a specious valley. Truso Valley houses several colorful travertines and the picturesque Abano Mineral Lake. As we move forward, we will pass a couple of abandoned villages and remote monasteries. Our goal will be Zakagori Fortress. We will climb to the ruins to take a panoramic view of the valley before heading back to our vehicles and driving to Tbilisi. On the way, time permitting, we will stop at Pasanauri to try local cuisine and homemade wine. Return to Tbilisi in the evening. The end of the tour.
