The Holy Trinity Church in Zemo Chocheti

The Holy Trinity Church in Zemo Chocheti is located in the Shida Kartli region, Kaspi Municipality, in the center of the village Chocheti, in the cemetery. It is a hall church dating back to the IX-X centuries. The plan is a rectangular building with a semicircular apse to the east in the interior. The floor of the apse is elevated by one step compared to the hall. The floor is covered with concrete and rock stones. The temple has a straight-line entrance to the west. The north wall has no windows, one rectangular window is cut in the center of the west wall, and one rectangular window in the apse. There are niches on both sides of the apse. The building is roofed with a semi-cylindrical vault that rests on a triumphal arch and another arch. The triumphal arch rests on the capitals, while the western one rests on the brackets. The Holy Trinity Church in Zemo Chocheti is built of rock and cobblestone, arches and brackets are made of tuff stone. The building is roofed with hollow tile.
