Zesnakhe Cave

The Zesnakhe cave is located in Samegrelo, Chkhorotsku Municipality, in the village of Taia. Speleologists consider it to be the cleanest cave in Georgia, and it is forbidden to enter it with dirty footwear. It is 1,500 meters long and 300 meters deep. The Zesnakhe cave is famous for its beauty. The mysterious, untouched environment, which can only be reached with the help of special equipment, makes an indelible impression on visitors. The name of the cave - Zesnakhe - is translated from Mingrelian as "Beauty" (Mzetunakhavi), and this unique monument really lives up to its name.
