GTG TOUR offers you a 1-day tour to Birtvisi Canyon and its surroundings.

The tour starts in Tbilisi. We will visit Birtvisi Fortress, which is a witness to the great history of Georgia. At one time, Birtvisi Fortress was considered to be impregnable. It is located in a naturally inaccessible place. Birtvisi is not an ordinary castle surrounded by a fence and towers.

We will visit Manglisi Sioni; according to historical sources, the first stone temple on this site was built in the period when Christianity was proclaimed as the state religion- in the 30s of the IV century.

We will visit the Church of St. George in the village of Tsveri. The hall-type church was built in the 11th century.

We will also visit the Partskhisi fortress. There is no information about the construction of the fortress. Despite the fact that it is mentioned in chronicles only since the reign of Bagrat IV (1027-1072), most likely, it was built much earlier.
