Chachkari — a historical village in Aspindza municipality, northeast of Vardzia, on the banks of the Mtkvari River.
According to tradition, Chachkari was used to replenish the agricultural supplies of Vardzia - a large amount of wine was pressed in rock-cut wine presses. In the village, in addition to damaged terraces and about 50 rock-cut wine presses, a four-century-old vine has also been preserved. There is also a rock-cut living hall and St. George's Church, examples of folk housing (houses with a mitsuri-banyan, Meskhetian halls), and others.
