Chitakhevi ranger shelter is located in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park on the trail of snow shoes, 1900 meters above sea level. To reach this place is possible only by foot. It is about 10 kilometers from the nearest roadway.

Chitakhevi ranger shelter is especially beautiful in winter. If you like hiking, snow, beautiful nature, sit by the fireplace and read a book somewhere in a distant lost forest then you should definitely visit this place.

In the Chitakhevi ranger shelter there is no water in winter due to frost, so you have to thaw the snow. To overnight in the shelter requires payment. For further information of payment, please contact the administration of Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park.

Hello! How warm does it stay inside the shelter after lighting up the fire? I'm planning to go beginning of january and i am wondering which kind of sleeping bag i would need...

Hi, there was just one small old wood stove in one room and it was warming not too well. So we advice you to talke the warm sleeping bag to stay in the cottage.
