St. Kilda Church

Kilda — a settlement in Akhalkalaki Municipality, Samtskhe-Javakheti Region. Nasoflar is located on the Akhalkalaki Plateau, 7 km from Kumurdo, at an altitude of approximately 1688 meters above sea level. It became a settlement in 1944, and the population of Kilda was resettled in the nearby village of Okami. The nearest neighboring villages of Kilda are: Kumurdo, Tmogvi, Nakalakevi.

The ruins of the 10th century Church of the Holy Estate have been preserved in Nasoflar. There are also the remains of a megalithic fortress, menhirs, a system of darantas, and medieval settlements. The following families lived in the village until the 1950s: Alelishvili, Maghradze, Gegidze, Nadiradze, Maisuradze, Okroadze, Khutsishvili, Mikeladze, Samadadze, Kharshiladze, Kuchaidze, Gogoladze, and others.
