Kojori - Turtle Lake

There are several interesting and easy hiking routes near Tbilisi. Among them is the hiking trail Kojori - Udzo Monastery - Turtle Lake.

The route starts in the village of Jojori and follows a broadleaf forest towards the Udzo Monastery . You will find yourself at the Udzo Monastery approximately 1 km from the start of the hike.

After visiting the Udzo Monastery, you will continue your journey towards Turtle Lake. The trail is not marked, but there are yellow arrows indicating where to continue your journey.

Along the way, you will come across a picnic area with a table and chairs and a roof, so you can enjoy a meal even in bad weather.

The trail is of easy difficulty, there is a slight climb from Kojri to Udzo, and after Udzo Monastery you have to walk mostly downhill.

The route offers beautiful views of Tbilisi and its surroundings.

How to get to Kojori:

You can get to Kojori by taxi and public transport. There are 2 buses from Baratashvili to Kojori. Bus #380, which goes directly to Kojori, and bus #316, which goes to Kiketi and passes through Kojori.
