Paravani Caravanserai

Paravani Caravanserai is located in Javakheti, Ninotsminda Municipality, east of Lake Paravani, in the village of Paravani.

The Paravani Caravanserai is a 26 m long, three-aisled, quadrangular building; it is built of stone and brick. The middle part is a corridor; on both sides of the corridor there are 5-5 rooms; they are connected to the corridor by semicircular arches. There is a fireplace in each room, and the Paravani Caravanserai shows signs of reconstruction. The original building is believed to date back to the 12th century; earlier, stones with Georgian inscriptions were also placed in the walls. Near the Paravani Caravanserai are two churches of the 11th-13th centuries.
